Akamoo's Island Sushi

I'll keep it short. Most people who eat sushi regularly will know that its pretty normal to receive dishes that they didn't order. They are usually very good and are usually a complimentary dish given as a sign of appreciation for their customers. Not at Akamoo's Island Sushi in Temecula! Those dishes he throws at you that you didn't order, well...you've got to pay for them. My first, last, and only visit I ordered about $20 worth of food: 1 order of Ama Ebi 1 California Roll 4 Oysters on the half shell "Akamoo" slapped me with so many dishes that I didn't order that I left with a $70.00 bill--those were all dishes in which I originally assumed were complimentary (until they became excessive and the age old cliche "if it seems too good to be true, it is" began to bounce around in my head). I was on my way to see a movie with my fiance and stopped by because I saw a 99 cent sushi at happy hour sign--what a joke. The irony of my visit will keep it in my memories for the rest of my life. It was a hideous experience. Don't walk away from Akamoo's Island Sushi, RUN!!!
