Alexis, an executive chef from Europe was born in Greece, worked in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and at the Athens Hilton before he came to the United States. He opened his restaurant under the name of The Greek Market in 1972. In 1980 it became Alexis Taverna and in 1988 Alexis Greek Restaurant now in the same location for 30 years.Chef Alexis has been critically acclaimed many times by several food critics and newspapers. Alexi’s wife, Fatima, an executive chef born in Portugal specializing in Portuguese and European cuisine and pastries, is also an expert in Portuguese wines. Alexis restaurant, joining two fabulous cuisines under one roof to give you the best of Mediterranean and Iberian foods Fatima travels to Portugal every year for several weeks at a time to join some of the best chefs and wineries in order to bring back great recipes and wines to the table of Alexis Greek Restaurant.
